Poll
Every 60 seconds Droptape fetches Hetzner's public auction feed and the cloud availability API. Nothing is scraped, and nothing is logged in on your behalf.

Diff
Only transitions are stored. A poll where nothing moved performs zero database writes and zero storage writes, which is why running this costs nothing beyond a plan that was already paid for.

Tell you
A monitor is a set of bounds — price, RAM, disks, region, cloud type. When a real listing crosses them you get one Telegram message or one email. Not a daily digest.
Prices here are net of VAT because that is how Hetzner's feed publishes them; your own rate is applied on your settings page and never mixed in silently. Droptape is not affiliated with Hetzner.
Everything above came out of one gzipped JSON object in object storage — the same document for every visitor, rewritten only when a poll finds a real change. It is versioned and self-describing because it is meant to become a public read-only API (PRD §15); until it is documented as one, treat the shape as stable but unpromised.
